How do I handle Alcohol with 3rd Party Delivery

It is the operator's responsibility to ensure that they comply with all laws regarding alcohol licensing for sale and/or delivery.  Do NOT sell alcoholic items on Bbot unless you are properly licensed to do so within your state and locality.

If you can lawfully sell alcohol for 3rd party delivery, you may do so using the Bbot system.  When doing so, it is your responsibility to ensure that alcoholic menu items are categorized as such in the Bbot system so that the 3rd party driver network is notified and will then properly check IDs upon delivery

To do this, you must assign a report category of beer, wine, or liquor to each alcoholic menu item. For more information on how to do this, please reference this article on editing a menu item. Assigning an alcoholic reporting category to your alcoholic menu items will automatically alert your driver that there is alcohol in the delivery, and it is then their responsibility to check ID's upon delivery.

We suggest you take extra measures to communicate with your guests that if they order alcohol, a valid ID must be present at the time of delivery. You can leave a message for your guests on the Bbot main menu page, or the checkout page. For more information on this, please visit this page. You can also leave a post-checkout message for your guests, which is customized in the location code editor - General section of the Bbot owner panel. Please keep in mind that the settings you change in the location code editor only apply to that specific location code, so if you have multiple, you will want to repeat this step for all location codes you'd like to add a post-checkout message to.
