Connecting The SmartBar Integration

SmartBar is an automated cocktail dispensing system, delivering speed, accuracy, and reduced operating costs to any beverage program. When a guest checks out with a SmartBar compatible item, they receive a text with a link to a QR code page that they can scan through the SmartBar system to receive their drink. In order to ensure that the text is triggered, you will first need to add the phone number as Required Checkout Info on the Location Code.

To connect the SmartBar integration, first navigate to the Integrations settings in the Bbot Owner Panel and click on 'Integrations'.

Scroll down until you see the SmartBar integration tile and click 'Connect SmartBar'.

You'll then be presented with a pop-up window allowing you to configure the integration. 

Menu Tags to Reference: SmartBar items are identified by the menu item tags that are attached to them. You are able to use any Menu Tags that you've created for menu items.

Fulfillment Methods Applied: The SmartBar integration can be configured to only work with specific fulfillment methods or it can apply to all fulfillment methods.  When selecting specific fulfillment methods, the only two options are Pickup w/ No Feedback To Guest and Counter Service w/ No Feedback To Guest.  If specific fulfillment methods are not selected then the integration will apply to all fulfillment methods, including the ones that are not available for selection.

Location Codes Applied: You can configure the SmartBar integration to work at all Location Codes or If you select a specific fulfillment method, then only locations with that fulfillment method are available for selection.

Instruction For Guests (optional): This allows you to enter a specific message for guests they receive when completing the checkout process. This will be sent along with the QR code the guest will receive via text.

When the guest completes their checkout, they'll receive a text message with a link to the QR code as long as you have already added the phone number as Required Checkout Info on the Location Code.

Clicking the link will take them to the QR code that they will need to scan at the SmartBar machine to receive their drinks. Each time a guest places an order, they'll receive a new text message and a new QR code.
