KDS Order Grouping

Order grouping allows orders from multiple vendors to be consolidated into one ticket on a device that expedites orders for a food hall or ghost kitchen environment. To have Order Grouping turned on, please contact our Support Team at bb-support@doordash.com.

A grouped order will list the name of each vendor and each item the vendor is responsible for. The chain icon indicates a multi-vendor order, and the order number for each vendor will also be listed next to the chain icon.

As vendors update the status of their orders, the icons shown below will update based on the fulfillment status of the order. The expediter can also update the status of all orders by tapping the status at the bottom of the ticket.

To show each ticket in the multivendor order, you can tap the 'X' icon in the top right corner of the ticket. 

The expanded view will show each order and allow you to update the fulfillment status of the order and will show a line connecting all tickets in the multivendor order. If you need to edit an order, you will need to expand the ticket and edit each order individually. 

You can return the orders to a consolidated ticket by clicking the arrow symbol in the upper right-hand corner.
