Google Tag Manager Integration

A Bbot x Google Tag Manager integration in conjunction with Google Analytics will enable you to gather in-depth data across all of your Bbot pages and analyze it in one place.

What is Google Tag Manager (GTM)?

Google Tag Manager is a  tag management system (TMS) that allows you to quickly and easily update measurement codes and related code fragments collectively known as tags on your website or mobile app. Once the small segment of Tag Manager code has been added to your project, you can safely and easily deploy analytics and measurement tag configurations from a web-based user interface.

What is Google Analytics (GA)?

Google Analytics is a deprecated service and is no longer supported. If you are using a GA account, you will need to upgrade to GT4.

Getting Started:

In order to begin gathering in-depth data from your ordering sites, you will first need to create Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics accounts and link them to your Bbot Ordering Platform. Step-by-instructions of this process can be found in our article, Google Tag Manager Integration: Getting Started.

Integration Features:

Tracking Pageviews:

A pageview (or pageview hit, page tracking hit) is an instance of a page being loaded (or reloaded) in a browser.  Pageviews is a metric defined as the total number of pages viewed. Tracking pageviews on your Bbot site allows you to view website traffic in a variety of different ways through Google Analytics. You can use this data to analyze metrics such as the total number of active users, the number of active users per website page, website traffic over time, and the different sources of menu traffic such as ads and marketing campaigns.

For detailed instructions on how to enable Tracking Pageviews please see our article, Google Tag Manager: Tracking Pageviews.

Goal Completions:

Goals measure how well your site or app fulfills your target objectives. A goal represents a completed activity, called a conversion, that contributes to the success of your business. Goals can be set up to register a view on any page of your Bbot site, this includes completed checkouts or views of a specific menu page. You can also set up conversion funnels that can provide detailed information on which pages your guests are visiting on their way to completing any given goal that you are tracking.

For detailed instructions on how to configure Goals and Conversion Funnels, please see our article, Google Tag Manager: Goals and Conversion Funnels.

Ecommerce Tracking:

The E-commerce reports allow you to analyze purchase activity on your site or app. With Bbot's Google Tag Manager Integration,  you will be able to see transaction information, average order value, e-commerce conversion rate, time to purchase, and other data.

For detailed instructions on how to configure Ecommerce Tracking and additional information on what data Bbot's integration can provide, please see our article, Google Tag Manager: Ecommerce Tracking.
