Terminal - Menu Screen
The Bbot Terminal Menu Screen displays all items linked to the Fulfillment Station and allows you to mark them as in-stock or out-of-stock quickly.
Items are easily searchable via the search bar at the top of the screen. You can include all items within a search, or you can narrow your search to only include Menu Items or Modifiers by selecting your preference in the top right-hand corner.
By clicking on a menu item or modifier, you can edit the properties of the item, including:
- Menu Item Class
- Menu
- Menu Heading
- Item Name
- Item Description
- Most Loved
- Price
- Tax Rate
- Fulfilling Station
- Inventory
- Enable or Disable Item
You can also set menu items or modifiers as in or out of stock with the toggles on the right side of the screen. In the below example, the Allagash White is in stock, and the Americano is out of stock.
When editing the item name, clicking on the black arrow will allow you to change the item name as it appears in different areas of Bbot.
- Item Name - This is the name shown to guests on your Bbot ordering page.
- Item Name on Tablet - The name shown for the item on Bbot orders in the KDS.
- Item Name on Reports - The name shown in various Bbot reports.
You are also able to set the inventory count for items and modifiers. Under the Item Details, clicking on the 'Update Inventory' button will present you with three options for the inventory count.
To update the inventory for an item, enter a number into the 'Amount' field, click one of the three options below, and click 'Apply'.
- Set: This will set the current inventory amount for the item.
- Add: This will increase the inventory amount based on the number entered in the 'Amount' field.
- Remove: This will decrease the inventory amount based on the number entered in the 'Amount' field
Once an inventory amount has been set for an item, the inventory quantity will be displayed on the right-hand side of the screen.
You can also create a new item in the terminal by clicking the '+' in the top right corner of the Menu screen.
In the pop-up window, select whether you'd like the item to be food or drink, or a modifier, and select the menu heading the item will be under. You will need to enter the item name and price but entering an item description and whether it is 'Most Loved' is optional. Finally, enter the tax percentage for the item and the fulfilling station, and the inventory amount if you'd like to track the amount available.
If you are integrating Bbot with Toast, you need to mark the item out of stock in Toast first; if the item is marked as out of stock in Bbot but in stock in Toast, it will change back to in stock when the menu sync occurs.
