How to Add 'Rooam Pay at Table' Button

What Is Rooam?

Rooam is a platform that integrates with POS systems to accept contactless payments, much like Bbot. You can find more information on Rooam on their website.

You can use Rooam to empower your guests to choose between ordering through their mobile device through Bbot, or experience a traditional table service with a server through Rooam. 

When guests decide to order via their mobile device, they will go through the usual process of ordering on a restaurant/vendor's Bbot online ordering page. When guests decide to order via a server, the server will provide their receipt at the end of service. 

The guests can either pay through a QR code, or enter their check information into the Rooam button on the Bbot ordering page, both of which are provided on the receipt. Not only does this allow for an easier checkout process for the guests, but it allows for:

  • Contactless checkout
  • Checkout using either Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • Guests can review and close their tab directly from their phones

If you are using Rooam in conjunction with Bbot, you can add your Rooam Pay at the Table button to your Branded Ordering Site (BOS). To do so, navigate to the Bbot App store located in your Owner Panel.

When you click "Connect Rooam", you will be taken to the settings for creating a button:

The Button Name is what the guests will see on the BOS, and the External URL is the Rooam link that the button will direct your guests to pay at the table. This link is the pay at the table link follows the following format: pay.rooam.co/{VENUEID}, where the VENUEID is the internal location ID that a Rooam representative will create once a location is onboarded.

Click "Submit" after you've entered in your Rooam settings, and the button should appear at the bottom of your BOS page. 

Please note that once this is submitted, it will appear on all of the BOS pages the moment it's configured.

Text to Pay

Bbot also offers the ability for guests to pay for call-in orders through their mobile devices. After the order is called in, a link can be sent directly to their cell phone via text message that allows them to complete their payment. This message is fully customizable, including any marketing language for your restaurant. 

The server taking their order will simply need to enter the guest's phone number to have the link sent and once the payment is complete, the check will automatically be removed from the POS.
