Why do I have skipped order numbers?

When viewing 'Past Orders' in the Owner Panel or from the 'Search Orders' tab in the Bbot Terminal, you may notice that some order numbers might get skipped.

This is nothing to be alarmed about and you shouldn't be worried that your orders have "disappeared". When a guest attempts to place an order, a new order number is always assigned to the order. If the guest checkout fails when they try to place an order, the assigned order number will be skipped and their next attempted order will generate a new order number. 

This could happen because the payment method was declined, the minimum order was not met, the address is outside of the delivery zone, etc.
