Revel x Bbot Refund Process

This article will guide you on the proper way to refund when integrated with Revel. If you're not integrated with Revel yet, please follow this article first.

Before we proceed with the initial steps you need to take before you begin refunding, there are a few things to make clear. You will need to refund your orders through your Revel POS system only. Refunding through the Bbot Owner Panel instead will cause complications with your reporting down the line. Please also note that refunds will only work for item or full order refunds. Percent-based refunds will not pull over to Bbot properly.

Initial Bbot Owner Panel Steps:

You will need to enable the function to have refunds sync between Revel and Bbot. This is so refunds can reflect properly on Bbot's backend when you view your Past Orders there. Here are the steps to do so:

1. In the Bbot Owner Panel, navigate to Integrations > Bbot App Store.

2. Navigate to your Revel integration and press Edit.

3. Make sure that the option "Sync Refunds from Revel" is checked. If it's not checked, click on the box next to the option and then press Submit to save the changes.

Enabling the Refund Function through the Revel POS System:

With Revel, you will need to enable the function to refund through the POS System. Below are the steps to do so:

1. Click on the Settings option in the Management Console.

2. Click on Clear Selections and search for "comp".

3. Select the Inventory Settings box that's located on the left, which will select all of the comp options.

4. Save your changes afterward and tap Refresh on the POS for the comp option to show up.

After you finish making these changes in the Revel POS, please reach out to Revel Support through their support center or their phone number at (415) 744-1433 to make sure they enable the Refund webhook for Bbot.

Refunding an Order/Select Items:

1. From the Dashboard, select the Orders tab.

2. Tap on the order you would like to issue a refund for.

3. In the order screen, tap on the three dots and then tap on Comps.

4. Select the items you would like to refund in the order and then tap Next.

5. Enter a reason for the refund and then press OK.

6. Tap Refund to issue the refund.
